I’ve learned something today
  • A Vibe-Shift checklist helps reset judgment during vibe-coding–driven product development by applying three filters: (1) the Weirdness Test, which checks how an idea holds up once the initial excitement has faded; (2) the Subtraction Test, which asks whether there is still room to reduce features, interaction, or complexity; and (3) the Heartbeat Test, which asks whether I would personally care if the product ceased to exist.
  • In modern product development, being data-driven and data-informed is no longer a differentiator but a baseline expectation, as fundamental as writing product specifications.
  • Data-driven decision-making lets the data determine the action, for example automatically changing pricing or blocking a transaction when a metric crosses a predefined threshold. Data-informed decision-making uses data as input but relies on human judgment to decide, such as reviewing customer behavior trends and then choosing which product problem to solve next based on experience and strategic context.
  • Becoming a top-1% job candidate rarely comes from doing more of the same, but from doing a few things noticeably better and with more care than others. Building something genuinely useful or well-crafted can differentiate you enough to get you into a hiring pipeline without even ever formally applying.
  • Zero-to-one product development is about creating the first version of something that did not exist before, often guided by conviction rather than data. In contrast, classical product development progresses through discipline, with improvements that are incremental, adjacent, and shaped by emerging signals.
  • OpenClaw is a free and open-source autonomous AI agent that executes tasks via large language models, using messaging platforms as its primary interface. Moltbook is one place where OpenClaw agents communicate with each other, creating a bot-only social network that quickly went viral and sparked hype by showing how autonomous AI systems can interact at scale without direct human involvement.
  • N26 is not a venue you can simply waltz into. For access, the registration name had to match the name on your ID. This was a small extra step, but it was definitely worth it:
